The Preamble Institute (Pi) is Theta Delta Chi's signature leadership retreat.

The event will start on Friday, January 12th, and conclude on Sunday, January 14th. Attendees will return home on Monday, January 15th. The 2024 Pi is in Ames, Iowa. Ames is home to Iowa State University and the Beta Deuteron Charge. 

Each Charge is required to send one delegate annually. This delegate has their travel, lodging, and registration covered by the Grand Lodge. 

Additional delegates can attend Pi. Charges who want to send additional delegates can email jlowry@tdx.org. The costs for an additional delegate are registration, lodging, and travel. 

NEW! Alumni Track

The Grand Lodge has been hosting the Preamble Institute for 17 years, and we have evolved it over the years. This year will be particularly significant. For the FIRST time, we are hosting an alumni track for anyone who works with or is interested in, working with the undergraduates.

After great attendance and interest at the Alumni Minerva Session, we recognized now is the time to increase the multiplier impact of having local alumni engage in meaningful and constructive dialogue. Throughout the Preamble Weekend, we will be working to train alumni on how to use Agile business practices to engage in conversations with delegates from their Charge.

The cost of the programming will be $400. This will include ½ of a double room for the event, food, and all supplies. There is a ticket option for $600 that includes the same items but with a non-shared room. Both ticket options include access to shuttle service from DSM and back.

Alumni delegates who are flying should land in DSM by 4 pm. Please send a copy of your flight itinerary to glstaff@tdx.org to be added to the pickup and drop-off lists. Questions can also be directed to glstaff@tdx.org.

Please consider sending one representative from your Charge to attend so we can complete the vision of leading a non-hostile takeover of every campus we are a part of.
